Merry Christmas everyone!
Of course today I have saved for the Nativity Scene. After all, that's what Christmas is all about. The day we set aside each year to honor the birth of our Savior.
Nativities are my favorite decoration of the season. Strangely enough, I don't have one. See, I got saved in my 30's. Before that point the nativity meant nothing to me and I had no interest. After that point it became VERY important to me. And I've looked for a set every year since then.
So what's my problem? I think maybe I'm putting too much importance on wanting it to be perfect. Me. The person that usually could care less about perfect. I'm more into getting it done.
I have found several sets that I love. They have all been too expensive.
So therein lies the rub.
I'd love to have a hundred sets....and can't seem to take the plunge to even get the first one! LOL. I need to just get over myself, huh?
And the set I gave away and went to order? Got it all loaded up in the cart...and couldn't press send. No idea.
I do have a cross-stitch I made that greets my visitors in the entryway. It stays up all year and reminds me daily that wise men seek Him.
So! On to the lovely pictures from the web!
Merry Christmas, dear friend!
ReplyDeleteYour cross stitch is beautiful! :o)
ReplyDeleteI am like you, it is hard to spend so much money on something that you only bring out once a year. I wonder how I can incorporate my nativity (I only have a couple) in my home on a regular basis.
The picture of the little crocheted Mary and Joseph is precious! :o)
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne
I LOVE the candle set nativity. I don't have one like that.
ReplyDeleteSo, you are going to have to send me your address or something - I have about 20 nativity sets, and I am going to have to share with you.
Seriously, let's talk.
