Americans Arrested While Taking Children From Haiti
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sorry, but you can't take minors across state lines legally in the states without permission....why would you think loading up a bus of POSSIBLE orphans and taking them to another country would be legal???? Without ever contacting the government of the country the children belong to????
Sorry. I'm a Christian and believe in helping. I'm an adoptive parent and believe in adopting.
These people need to go to jail.
It boggles the mind, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteOh m gosh! CRAZY! WHat were they thinking????
ReplyDeleteDainel fast is only fruits, veggies and whole grains, eek!
Good Lord, yes they should!!!
ReplyDeleteDid you read the whole article? They had already created the orphanage, and the plan to take children there BEFORE the earthquake. It does not say they were taking them to be adopted out, only to be sheltered -they were planning adoptions before the earthquake, but it is not stated at this point what their plan was. It already insinuates that they were planning to take them to America and sell them to the highest bidder. These people have not even had a chance to say what they were planning. Now, I am not saying they were not stupid, and I am not saying that they obviously had their paperwork in the wrong order, but often the media does their best to present Christians in the worst possible light. Let's wait awhile before we judge them.
ReplyDeleteI don't think these guys were actually going to try and adopt these kids out...there is no way our immigration would allow a Haitian adoption from the Dominican Republic -- it would all have to go through Haiti. But if all they want to do is take care of the children...why do they have to be removed from their country to do it? Why weren't they allowed to help in Haiti? And why are the Haitian government reps acting like it was done without approval? Maybe its an oversight since they have announced there would be no more children removed from their country? Either way...removing children from their home country without proper government approval is kidnapping at the least and trafficking at the worst. UNICEF is going to scream for their heads.
