Yep.
For years I said NO to the rat race.
I've said NO to so many requests.
And this year?
Some how, some way.....I ended up over-scheduled.
Me.
The queen of no.
How is this teen so busy???
(Not to mention adding in gymnastics and Girl Scouts for Mouse.)
And you know what? That kid that I'm in no hurry to put behind the wheel of a car? I'm going to be so worn out by the time she is 16 that she is going to be behind the wheel of a car.
I tell myself its because a busy teen is a teen that stays out of trouble.
After all, I did cut my teeth on a teen that was not busy enough.
Huh. Nuff said there my friends.
I'll take the over scheduled this time around.
So maybe the third one will be the middle of the road perfect schedule. Right?
I can dream anyways.
Finding that balance seems impossible. I didn't do anything last year, and regretted it. I think we are doing too much this year. Where is the middle?! Argh.
ReplyDeleteGood luck and try to sit back and enjoy the ride.
Thanks for your comments on my blog and the tag! Boy, I'm feeling you on this post! You will be terrified when your child gets her license, but at the same time it's the most freeing thing on the planet. No more taxi mom! I've added you to my blog role as well! Take care.
